Ukraine is the leader in Europe in terms of ratio to production - British Petroleum (2020)

23/07/20

According to the annual British Petroleum Statistical Review of World Energy 2020, Ukraine continues to lead Europe in terms of reserves to production ratio (R / P), second to Norway in proven natural gas reserves indicator and fourth in terms of gas production.

The survey also notes that 118.7 trillion cm of gas or 1.7% of world reserves are based in the European energy region, which includes Ukraine.

Over the last 9 years, the portion of the European region in world reserves has fallen from 3.1% to 1.7% and today 70% of world gas reserves are based among the countries in Central Asia and the CIS. Beyond that, during this period there is a decline in gas production compare to consumption among European countries.
