In 3 years, the number of companies with decreasing production has doubled

In the gas production industry in the past 3 years the number of companies, decreasing the production, has grown from 12 to 22. This was stated by the executive director of the Association, Roman Opimakh, during the Simplification of the permitting procedure for gas producers – a step towards energy independence of the country press-conference, as reported by the Ukrinform journalist.

"We are pointing out that currently the production growth rate is not sufficiently large – only 3.5%. In addition, we are highlighting the negative trends worth the attention in our opinion. Despite the positive trend of increasing production due to more efficient use of Ukrgazvydobuvannya's rigs, 60% of the companies in the industry have decreased production", said Opimakh.

According to him, in the past three years, the number of companies with the decreasing production has almost doubled: from 12 to 22.

"Not a single foreign investor has come in this period. At the same time, 6 gas producers have stopped their operations",  noted Opimakh.
