The Executive Director of the Association, Artem Petrenko, participated in a virtual meeting of The Continental Europe Energy Council (CEEC). This community brings together about 70 oil and gas production companies operating in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as the Caspian region.
As the sole representative from Ukraine at the event, the head of the AGPU informed European colleagues about how Ukrainian producers continue to operate under the conditions of a full-scale war and what achievements we have in the sector despite all challenges.
Ukraine has increased gas production and is going through the heating season without imports for the first time. Last year, state and private companies intensified their work and increased investments. This was made possible, first and foremost, thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the stability of the tax system.
Ukrainian gas storages are reliable for storing European gas. Despite all the war risks, we demonstrate resilience to the EU.
The state fulfils all its obligations regarding the transit of Russian gas to Europe; the GTS operates stably.
We continue to work on PSAs to ensure agreements are clear and understandable for all parties. The government recently adopted a vital document regarding using the state's share of produced gas.
