Subsoil use reforms package by the ministry of ecology

Obtaining and studying the geologic information – is the starting point of each subsoil user's path.

The international practice indicates that the world, which is aiming to attract large foreign investors, offers much more geologic information available publicly than Ukraine does. Thus, the amendments developed by the Ministry of Ecology, which are aimed at liberalization of the geologic information turnaround, are the first and very important step (available in Ukrainian:https://menr.gov.ua/projects/111/).

The proposed approach will allow to arrange the available data on the current licenses and open up the soviet-era reports on the available land tracts for the potential investors to assess and individually nominate them for open auctions. It is the latter who should tell the real market value of the assets.

A great example of the PPP is organized under the leadership of the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, Ostap Semerak.
