The 11th Ukrainian Energy Forum took place on February 25-27 in Kyiv, bringing together governmental officials, MPs, heads of energy companies, leading domestic and international industry experts.
Opening the Forum, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk emphasized that the Government alleviates investors’ access to the sphere of subsoil use. Simplicity and understanding of the procedures for investors are the main idea. Prime Minister noted, that the discovery of geological information, the establishment of IT services, confrontation against dormant licenses, and future proceed of online e-auctions and tenders are among the main priorities.
"I expect 9 PSA to be signed in the next few months, most likely in March. More of them won`t be late as well. Here, in Ukraine, we have a lot to offer for investor, who is ready to invest in oil and gas industry’, said Oleksiy Honcharuk.
Artem Petrenko, Executive Director of the Association of Gas Producers of Ukraine noted:
"For the second year in a row, independent companies increase gas production in Ukraine. As a result of 2019, such growth was 5,05% and reached a record 4.6 billion cm. In order to maintain positive trend, it is very important to proceed stable fiscal policy in sector and keep tax incentives, as vital as comply with pure and clear rules and maintain following oil and gas e-auctions and tenders’ practices".
Roman Opimakh, the Head of the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine described, that overall acreage of current year’s planned oil and gas auctions and tenders is 30 000 sq.km. The State Geological Survey is also working on the projects regards Yuzivksa and Oleska blocks.
