The industry has received updated Safety Rules in the oil and gas production industry, which have not been modernized for over 15 years.
The Association took an active part in the modernization of the Rules, has been keeping this issue under constant control for several years, and emphasized the importance of the earliest possible changes, as worker safety at the workplace has always been and remains a priority in the activities of gas production enterprises.
The update of the Safety Rules is a necessary component for the proper and effective functioning of the oil and gas production industry, and it is essential that Ukraine, like the entire civilized world, raises standards and implements the best international practices.
The document contains a number of changes that introduce necessary adjustments and adapt the Rules to modern trends and relevant provisions of European laws. In particular, Ukrainian legislation will now fully align with the provisions of Council Directive 92/91/EEC on minimum requirements for improving the safety and health protection of workers in the extractive industries through drilling.
