The Association of Gas Producers of Ukraine has become a member of the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC), one of the largest international business associations bringing together more than 200 American and Ukrainian companies representing key sectors of the economy. The organisation was established in 1995 and is headquartered in Kyiv and Washington, D.C.
USUBC’s core activities focus on developing trade and economic relations between the United States and Ukraine. The organisation facilitates systematic dialogue between business and political leaders in both countries and supports initiatives aimed at improving Ukraine’s investment climate. Through its dynamic programmes, high-level network and individualised approach, the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council provides its members with unique opportunities to develop businesses and projects, build strategic partnerships and navigate a changing market environment.
“We are pleased to welcome the Association of Gas Producers of Ukraine to the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC). Ukraine’s energy sector plays a key role in the country’s economic resilience and future recovery, while the development of domestic gas production is of significant importance for energy security, attracting investment and private-sector growth. AGPU’s broad representation of state-owned and private gas producers will bring valuable industry expertise to USUBC and create additional opportunities for engagement between Ukrainian and American energy market participants,” said Irina Paliashvili, President & CEO of USUBC.
Cooperation between the Association and the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council will be an important and necessary step towards strengthening the international representation of Ukraine’s gas production industry. It will undoubtedly contribute to attracting new investors to the sector and strengthening Ukraine’s economic security.
“The Association views membership in USUBC as an important platform for developing cooperation between the Ukrainian and U.S. energy sectors. We are interested in participating in industry events and discussions, business forums and other initiatives aimed at strengthening economic partnership between the two countries. Of particular interest to us are the exchange of experience and best practices in gas production, attracting investment, implementing modern technologies and improving the regulatory environment,” said Artem Petrenko, Executive Director of the Association of Gas Producers of Ukraine.
