PrJSC MC Ukrnaftoburinnya (UNB) has successfully completed well No. 22 at the Sakhalin Field. Upon testing of the first target formation, a commercial inflow of gas condensate mixture was obtained with daily gas production of 280 thousand m3 and condensate of 30 tons on 9 mm choke.
The well location was initially chosen in accordance with the existing geological and hydrodynamic model, and final confirmation was obtained using petrophysical correlations based on synthetic logs.
The well depth is 4,565 meters drilled by NOV 2000 HP DC drilling rig equipped with a top drive and a triplex pumping group.
The well has been drilled and completed in 110 days (in particular, the drilling and casing period lasted for 74 days).
Ukrburservice acted as the general contractor in the drilling of the well. Products and services of Ukrainian and international companies such Spetshazbud, Burova Tekhnika, KHIM-TEKH, Dnipro Pipe Plant, Denimex, Weatherford, Schlumberger, Exalo Drilling and others were engaged in the drilling process.
“After quite difficult last year with low gas price and pandemic situation, oil and gas industry is gradually picking up with capital investments. UNB has started its drilling program on Sakhalinskoe oil and gas field, completing well No.22. Thanks to the high level of expertise and effort of geological, drilling, production, and construction departments of UNB, who were working as fully integrated team, the well was drilled with successful result.
