We are furthering our partnership with industry organizations to strengthen energy and environmental security in the country.
The Association has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Professional Association of Environmentalists of the World (PAEW), an international, independent organization of green economy professionals from the public and private sectors with shared interests in sustainable development principles, green recovery, and the eco-transformation of all spheres and industries.
The green agenda is a global trend, and despite the full-scale war, Ukraine, as a candidate country for EU accession, is doing everything possible to adhere to it. On the path to a green transition, natural gas will remain a key fuel and play an important role in economic transformation. Therefore, our country, after defeating the aggressor, can become a beneficial partner for the European Union and one of the guarantors of energy security in the region.
Gas production and ecology are interconnected and go hand in hand. In their activities, AGPU companies responsibly adhere to the requirements of current legislation, implement environmentally friendly technologies in production, upgrade facilities, and conduct environmental monitoring, among other measures. The industry supports the decarbonization course because our future depends on it.
Together with PAEW, we will work on strengthening energy and environmental security in the country, implementing cutting-edge technologies and innovations, promoting the sectors on the international stage, and attracting investors to Ukraine's post-war recovery efforts.
