Nearby the production sites of Natogazvydobuvannya, which is part of the DTEK group, an independent research of the environment was conducted.
According to the results of the research, gas production does not have negative impact on the underground wates, ground, or air in the nearby populated areas.
The research was conducted by the experts of the state enterprise Ukrainian Geological Research and Production Center (SE "Ukrnaukageocenter", which is part of the NJSC Nadra of Ukraine). They have collected the samples of underground waters, ground, and air samples in various parts of Kovalivka village of Shyshatsky region of Poltava oblast, located on the territory of Semyrenkivske gas and condensate field. Sampling sites were determined by the local community. The samples were researched in a certified laboratory using the approved methodologies. "After the laboratory research results were processed and analyzed, it can now be stated that the man-made effects, related to petroleum industry, are absent" – as stated in the report of the SE "Ukrnaukageocenter", which concluded the research.
Environmental screening is held on the Semyrenkivske field annually for 9 years. The past researches have yielded the same results.
